Between science and nature, there is a delicate balance. This is where Dulsée comes to life.
My name is Mouna, and Dulsée is a project that was born at the intersection of science, care, and a deeply personal need.
For four years, I was a researcher in biotechnology, immersed in the world of collagen and biomolecules for a large company in the sector. An intense, demanding journey that taught me rigor... but also pushed me to my limits.
It was during this time that my skin began to speak to me. Painfully.
Eczema, atopic dermatitis — these inflammations that burn, itch, mark.
And I was not alone: in France, over 2 million adults live with eczema. More than 3% of the population. An enormous figure, often minimized.
Dulsée was born from this frustration. From the need to create something real. Something that heals, that soothes, without compromising on pleasure or naturalness.
In the midst of writing my thesis manuscript, one ingredient kept coming up in my readings: algae.
Their richness, their complexity, their anti-inflammatory power.
Some, like fucoidan, show impressive results on skin prone to eczema or skin inflammations*.
And then, an idea sprouted. What if I created myself what I had not yet found in the pharmacy?
A balm that truly soothes. A treatment with a clean composition, free from mineral oils, but with real effectiveness, visible and felt.
It took me 40 tries.
Textures that are too greasy, not stable enough, formulas that melted too easily... then one day, finally, the right one.
The right balance. One that absorbs quickly, soothes in the moment, and repairs over time.
Since then, the feedback has exceeded anything I imagined. The red, itchy patches, the tightness: for many, it's a thing of the past.

With Dulsée, I wanted to rethink the care of sensitive skin.
Not as a compromise. But as a complete sensory experience.
For a long time, I believed that soothing my skin meant giving up pleasure: beautiful textures, comforting scents.
But I refuse the idea that one must choose between effectiveness, safety, and pleasure.

And each fragrance has been chosen with care: they come from Grasse, are guaranteed free of controversial substances (no CMR, no phthalates) and are dosed with extreme delicacy — just enough to awaken the senses, without disturbing reactive skin.

Here is my true motivation.
And it's non-negotiable.
I didn't want to simply launch a brand.
I wanted to create products that I could defend with my eyes closed.
Each ingredient has been chosen for a reason. Not because it looks nice on the label, but because it has proven its effectiveness and respects the skin as much as the planet.
No greenwashing, no vague promises.
